What an odd peice of equipment this is.
I noticed a different bike that parks near me and had a quick look. It was
yellow, looked kinda streetfighterish, but had a tiny back wheel, funny
casing around where the chain would be, and silly dual coil springs that go
from the rear axle to the back of the bike (a la CB250).
I did a google and found out it is the Gilera DNA. Not released here
apparently, and it is effectively a 180cc scooter built to look like a
normal bike. Someone must have loved it enough to bother importing it.

TW did a test report on the DNA ages ago, when they were doing that learner series. Definitely available here!

    OK
    caption time......

what are the girls saying in the background

Gilera marketing have them saying " wow, look at that studly bloke on the
manly bike.....what a stud, with a bike like that, we want to root him"

what they are really say "we are getting paid to look drop dead gorgeous to
look at some dickhead on a pretend bike.........what a fucking wanker"

The DNA was imported to Australia when Tonbourne P/L in Sydney was the
vespa/piaggio/gilera importer. It came in 2 models the 125 and the 180 , it
also comes as 50 in europe. it's got 14" wheels
It has a CVT belt drive like most scooters and storage space for a helmet under
    the fake fuel tank
When Peter stevens took over the vespa as the vespa/piaggio/gilera importer,
they looked at the sales figures for the DNA and promptly dumped them as a
    model.
    they sold 5 in Victoria

    learner series. Definitely available here!
Yes, in the 2002 edition of "Your First Motorcycle", and possibly elsewhere.

The review I saw was in one of the normal issues, but I can't remember when it would have been, other than it was a
    while ago.
