What do you reckon to the Trangia "style" ones? Any good, or will the be
like (as I said about Zippos before) a poor immitation and fall to bits
    in short order?

I can't think of anything that will keep for too long. I don't have a
coolbox/icebox here but if you do make anything for the gathered masses,
me included, I'll be sure to bung a few quid into your sweaty paw.
    :) That's good then ;)

    wisdom:
Just buy one extra of steaks and stuff that won't go off within five
minutes of arrival, that should be good enough.

I'm hoping there's a farm shop on site or nearby for "healthy" stuff or
a 7-11 type place for everything else.
    I know. It's exciting, innit.

That's the one, the meth burner.

They do look dear and are really but they come complete with an entire
range of useful cookware items as well as the burner and stuff, which
makes then look a little less expensive.

Twenty-five quid? You're 'aving a larf, aintcha? Less than 15 in the
UK and about a tenner most other parts of the world.

This is identical to the one I have - small, light, entirely adequate
for one or two people. Needs a bigger bottle for the meths really,
    though.

Oh I dunno. The last time I used mine in anger was to impress a burd
who did manoeuvres with the Terriers. Meat and three veg with custard
for afters and a nice cup of tea before bed is entirely achievable with
more than enough left for her to show off her snotty eggs and crispy
    rashers in the morning.

Having a spare bottle is always a good move though if you are going to
be away from civilisation for a couple of days. Hill walking or shit
but then you take different rations anyway.

  10. I off to Cornwall soon. How bad is it?
Apart from torrential rain, thunder storms, floods and all the other
things on the news at the moment.
