What a chuffing pain in the arse they are to fit to a Varadero. I spent a
good couple of hours this affy fitting them to mine. thing is no matter
what I do there is a section 'inside teh fairing that I can't for the
love of satan get to fit properly. its where two pieces join together and
there are two bolts on each to connect them. The problem is its
impossible to get both holes to line up!

To describe it its a straight pipe with lugs and bolt holes in each
piece. when they are lined up one piece has holes at 5 and 11 oclock the
other has holes at 7 and 1. I checked that the pieces were the 'right
sides' (one is marked as R/H when sat on bike) and even just to be sure
tried swapping them over. it made no difference whatsoever.

Is it just me or could they actually be faulty?

I'll try and get some pictures. with one bolt in these and everything
else up tight the bars seem very solid, shaking them really feels like
    I'm shaking the frame.

I've fitted their stuff to my SV650 and V-Strom.

Both times I had to leave everything lose. wiggle all the bolts in and
    then tighten them.

Yep, I had one side of the FJ go on fine, but the other was a proper
    tw*t

Had to jack the bar into place to get the bolt in.

These were 'Atta' bars or something. They came from Denmark, so there
was little point trying to get it replaced.

You mean, did they include two of the same side or is one simply badly
made? Yes, to both or either.
