I guess some, other than just me, noticed the head shake.

Although I just found it a surprising nuisance, apparently
some just don't have a good sense of humor.

This is a low speed wobble? What speeds does it happen?

  3. Yeah but for the price of a timing chain for a DR370 I'll tell you at what speed
the GL1000 high speed weave starts. For the price of a freshly rebuilt T-500
motor I'll even divulge how fast a GL1000 can take an off camber 25mph curve(yes
    there are sparks)

    8^)
It's not a problem guys it's a feature to keep you awake!

History does not record anywhere at any time a religion that has any rational
basis. Religion is a crutch for people not strong enough to stand up to the
unknown without help. But, like dandruff, most people do have a religion and
spend time and money on it and seem to derive considerable pleasure from
    fiddling with it.

Seems like the Valkyrie has a small area in deceleration at low speed that
it shakes a little. It is hardly worth paying attention too, much less
    dangerous.

Like I said before on this topic, any big ol' motorsikel ''wobbles'' at
    low speeds, especially under 10-15mph.

Jerry of Houston area, submits an idea:
''Seems like the Valkyrie has a small area in deceleration at low speed
that it shakes a little. It is hardly worth paying attention too, much
    less dangerous.''

ahhhhhhhhhh, never thought. If surely could be those that have all that
''Plastic surrounding 'em'', like them Barges do.
Good thought. So that's why neither GaryWalker, nor I have ever
reported such a ''wobble'' on ours...hmmmm?
Could be something there, could be- eh, jerry.

Please elaborate a description and definition of "an Opossum"..
Having been born and raised in a particular area of Bowie county
and being closely related to you, in a family way (your wife and me
being, first cousins, twice removed) I'm at a loss at the meaning of
the word, especially in the context you are using it.. A full and descript-
ive explanation is called for, here..

Heres a clue. George Jones, the Possum. That possum grin he does when
    he sangs'.
His nick name, among others is possum Jones, right, remember?

But the dern spelling is sorta odd.
It looks funny when spelled correctly as listed in a paperback dict.

  20. Lots of discussion here about it: http://www.gl1800riders.com/forums/
Varies with tire brand, wear, road type, etc.. (no real correlation though)

I fixed mine about 95% by installing tapered steering head bearings (All
Balls) and torquing as recommended then re-torq after about 5000 miles.
    Worked GREAT!
