No, they were there until 1943. I think the RAF helped with the factory
    relocation process

Why not continue on down to the red city of Marrakech?

It's paved all the way and the grass is green and the red poppies are
pretty in the cool weather of late May, early June...

well, it's a thought - though Tangiers is already a fair old hike on a
    250 from London.
    don't tempt me.

I'm sorry. ;^) I will grant you the winter weather you grew up with is
far and away better than what they have in Maine.

I've been tempted to go to Bum fuc Egypt but so far I've only found it
on one map in one library over 30 years ago. 8^) Yes it was printed
not added...should stole that damn book. I worked for a gentleman who
claimed to have been there back in the 40's when the US government
sponsored an all expenses paid hiking tour of north africa, egypt,
    sicily and italy.

Instant Claymore: just add one twelve thousand pounder.
The Allies did the same - just through the smaller sheds' roofs.

Continuing the loop over the Atlas mountains back to Tangier by way of
Fez wasn't all paved when I was there, but a BMW F650 or a KLR650
    could make the trek easily...

send me a valid email address because I've only got one for Meridian
Fire and you've moved on since then haven't you?

You probably won't be up for the riding we're planning once we're
there but the trip down will be a laugh on its own.
