Goldwing light problem

    I've got an 89 GW. There is times the headlight goes out. You can touch
    the starter button it'll flash and come on sometimes and at other times it
    won't come on. I can go on and ride it and next time I look it working.
    Also the cruise control has stopped working. I know they're interrelated
    but haven't got a clue about where to start looking. Any ideas?
