I just finished assembling and painting the Unaugural trophies.

From the look of my welding this year I think I may be showing the first
signs of Parkinson's disease, so I had to mix the paint extra thick and
use a brush to cover my sins. :)

You'll have to explain that one to me - I inhaled quite a lot of paint
    fumes just then...?

After reading some of the recent posts in aus.moto I would have to agree.

Does that mean my long distance award was under-sprayed? Or was it that
the exquisite welding needed to be shown off with the minimum of paint to
ensure the craftsmanship of a master artisan was not hidden?

And yes, it made it all the way home and sits proudly on a bookshelf.

    Bill :)

Well yes, I spent a fair bit of time polishing those ones on the wire
wheel before I clear-coated them. I was a little more pressed for time
this year (all my own fault, I should have started months ago).

Well I hope you have spent a long time on my post attendance hard luck
    story trophy :)
Still in hospital trying to make sense out of the incomprehensible.
For those interested, I have a bit of a tumour to be attended to.
That's really all I know about at the moment.

Moike, I am not sure who is the oldest fart of the two of us, but
considering the similarity of our respective fartiness, that's really
the best news I've heard all day.
The specialists are still looking at pretty pictures, and will operate
on Monday. That will determine a few things like malignancy or not,
    and future treatment.
    Thanks for the good wishes

Last rally I went to the hard luck award couldn't go to the person with
the hardest luck story. Something had happened to her bike, so she'd
brought her car to the rally, then something happened to someone elses
bike, so someone borrowed her car to go help the other biker, then the
person who borrowed her car ran it off the road into a ditch and
totalled it. Unfortunately for her, the majority ruled that hard luck
story about a car doesn't deserve a trophy at a bike rally.

Ironically at that same rally I collected the trophy for the longest
    distance female rider.
