1st 12 months are free. As I have access to the database on one of them I'm
going to try using it on the others then register each one for the next 3
    years :)

If not its 19 quid for the updates after 12 months

How does it work then as when I bought my K1 (which has brought my
attention to the camera that flashed me and saved me from embarrassment
a further two times), it came with a letter telling me I had a lifetime
subs, but no activation information etc?

I know you said you'd do a review, but was that it?

Mine got on my tits initially, but having set the parameters a lot lower
than the factory defaults and set it to only be in the direction I'm
travelling, I get a lot less false positives.

Have you started taking Aricept yet?

Only when I drive past a speed camera I tend to remember the fucker.
Especially if the cunting thing flashed and sent me a souvenir.

Funnily enough, the car one for me works fine. Mind you, IIRC, Inforad
    is French.

Well with the M1's the dongle bit comes off the on bike dock and plugs via
usb to the pc, from there their software connects to website<>device and
    uploads the latest database.

When first connected it asks for email and reg info in order to activate the
    downloading "feature"

    In communiqué <>, Cab
How terribly Gallic to manufacture something which IIRC is illegal to
    use in France.

Is it? I know the laser/radar detector ones are, but I didn't think the
    GPS based ones were

FFS man this is UKRM. Do you expect me to get my facts right? You
probably have the right of it.

Note the *IIRC*. I was clearly misinformed or I plead a senior moment.

UKRM - never let the facts get in the way of a good argument ;-)

I saw something about the rules on detectors when we went over in
summer, and took my aged Bel STi pedestrian crossing detector out of
    the car.

Somewhere on western avenue heading into London (I'll blog the latlong
in the next few days). It catches me out every time I do it. Usually the
traffic's heavy enough that I'm within the limit anyway, but when it's
quiet I find myself using speed to keep out of the way of the twattish
    London driving.

On the subject of which, when I went to Dover at fukitsearly a few
months ago through the middle of London, I was amazed that even when
there was only me and one other car on the road the other bloke was
always desperate to race at every junction. Driving back to the country
    is so much more pleasant.
