GPS noob

Hi there

I'm about to embark on a job which involves riding round london, and
I'd like a GPS bluetooth adapter and mapping software to help me out.

I've got an i-mate Jam and I was looking at the different makers of GPS
kit with little knowledge of whether one was better than another.

Any experiences / recommendations please?

Sorry, this is easier than my previous suggestion, I don't know what I was
thinking.

 

Use Google because this topic comes up every 2 or 3 months and has been
done to death.

 

Serious question: are there any "The Knowledge for dummies" books? I
don't want to actually do it, but it would be handy to know a few of the
top tips.
