Greedy KTM

    The mirror stems on my Duke are covered by a rubber "boot". The rubber
    has gone-off and the left boot has come away. All the metal parts of the
    mirror a clean and rust-free, and I'd like to keep them like that. So I
    rang a dealer and asked how much for a new boot and was told that it's a
    complete unit at about £19. What a rip-off.

    Just buy a slightly cheaper can of ACF-50 and give it a spray so it
    won't rust you tart.

    It looks wrong too. The body of the mirror was designed with the boot in
    mind and it just looks crap.

    The choices in increasing order of cost are;

    Crap looking and rusty
    Crap looking
    New

    I guess you could get one second hand from a bike breaker, or on ebay?
