No riding news, just wanted to say "hello" from Fairbanks, Alaska,
where it is still dusk at 1:30 in the morning.

Is it just me, or is Alaska REALLY big?

    Tim

P.S. A few Alaskan pics can be found at:

Beautiful scenery, great pics - Thanks Tim.

Reminds me of the tale I heard about a Texas biker that wandered up there...

Sorry Bill... can't remember - was it whoop up on an eskimo princess and
make love to a grizzly bear. ;-)

<chuckle> The military flew me into Adak one time.. That sucker was covered
with snow and you had to go through a tunnel to get to the mess hall..

I worked on the pipeline for a short time, later.. Then I was foolish enough
    to
jump on a motorcycle and ride up there, once..

When they made that sucker a state and Texas became just another one of
the lower's.. it was just too much for me to bear.. Hells, bells.. it takes
    too long
to cross Texas, anyway.. There's just not much use in any state being
    bigger..

Without prejudice.. I'll declare that when Texas became the second largest..
it was the beginning of the end.. Life as we know it in Texas, will never be
    the
same.. I don't want to talk about it.. hmmpfff

Thanks, Bill. Got back last weekend, and got back to riding again.
Whew; two weeks without riding is a LONG time.

I'll tell you though, after the planes, trains, buses and boats on
that Alaska tour, I'll be glad to have a chance sometime in the future
to RIDE up there and see it all on my own schedule and terms.

    Updated the photos, too. http://tinyurl.com/2sbjxu

You still in Herndon? I was just a couple miles there...between
    Fairfax and Herndon....

Maybe if you'd answer your phone this time....just kidding, I didn't
call this past time because my schedule was too tight and I knew you
were jet setting the other end of the country. You going to be home
when I get back out there in a week after next?

I like that bar, spent a lot of time there in the late 80's, when it was
    Foot Annakin's.

Wave to the firefighters for me.
