It looks like I left North Texas just in time. Y'all kinda let the bad
    weather move in.

I'm working in DC this week. Not only am I working at Watergate, but
in the exact suite that was broke into. Gee, who planned that break-
in? I thought they were stupid until now...now they're REALLY stupid.
The office is only about 10 feet off the balcony of the hotel across
    the way.

My hotel is right next to the Washington Monument. I haven't seen the
Congress people yet, I guess they're on lunch break or something.

It's sorta fun out here, but the weather sucks (not as bad as most of
the rest of the country) and the people act funny....

I'm planning tomorrow to get naked and run down Pennsylvania Ave...

============I have always wanted to go to DC, primarily to visit the
''Smithsonians''. I understand there are numerous buildings making up
the Smithsonian institute, of which houses our countrys
    History.====take it easy, Brian. =bjay=

History? The Smithsonian was paid for by a man (named Smithson) who
never came to this country. He died and left his fortune to the US
with the understanding it would be used for "knowledge". His fortune
was so great that they built the Smithsonian and funded it solely from
    his financial backing.

And then you have some old bitch who dies and leaves her fortune to
    some mutt ragged dog....go figure!

Shit, ain't no one gonna buy me a steak dinner! Ole Timbo done got
scarce again. I went right through his town on my way here too.

My hotel room is bigger than my house. I'm like right in the middle of
all the "happenings" here. No time for all this sight-seeing though.
It's all about working, pretty girls, getting naked, running around
with pretty girls.....and maybe work once or twice more before going
to hang out with the pretty girls again.

Redshad, you wouldn't like it out here....too many pretty girls to
    look at!

If it weren't for the pretty hot babes, I wouldn't even like it!

Oh, the police ride around on Harleys with sidecars....now why would
they need sidecars? Unless they're trying to pick up a pretty girl, of
    course....

Actually, the night that he posted that I was stuck in a server room
until 4am. I called the number in the 703 area code (I don't know what
a "standard nova exchange" is) this morning. I got a standard
    voicemail greeting but no answer.

Since I showed up and found the customer didn't have enough ports to
sustain what they wanted to do, I managed to show them how they needed
more equipment. I suspect they'll be having me back out here in the
next month or so as quick as they're using up their availability.

Yeah, 703 is the standard northern Virginia (nova) exchange. I
don't know how I can be much more accomodating. I replied ten minutes
after your post yesterday. I was at my desk at 8:15 this morning. I
have voice mail. It say's "Hi, this is Tim, I'm unable to take your
call at this time. But if you leave your name and a brief message,
I'll call you back as soon as possible." It's not as if you got that
message and thought "Gee, maybe this isn't Tim's number after all!"
You didn't leave your name or number. You didn't leave any message at
all. Of course, when you supposedly called my home number on your
visit some years ago, you were unable to identify yourself when I
answered the phone at that time, so I'm not sure what the problem is.
Maybe you're just shy on the phone?

And if I wasn't sitting in a server room installing equipment and
taking a short break while others did their parts in the cut, maybe I
could sit and hit refresh until you finally make an appearance.

Then again, I've been saying I'd be in DC for two weeks now, and you
wait until I'm busy working to say "let's meet"?
Did I say it wasn't yours?
Nope, I sure didn't. I don't want my work number plastered on the news
group for others to harrass my employer....which HAS been done.
    Previously addressed.
"some years ago"? Do you mean within the past year?
Maybe I don't want to tell a bunch of people at the embassy that their
training and final meetings we had this morning was less important
than meeting with Timbo at the local Hardee's?

No problem. Just call when it's convenient for you, and if I'm at my
desk and answer, we'll see if we can arrange to meet for lunch. No
need to go to Hardee's, though. We can upgrade to Chik-fil-a!
