I think one or two on here are familiar with this bit of road - but
perhaps not negotiated in this manner:

Ah, that Yves Blondeau, the blerk with wheels stuck all over him - he's
been around for a while now, you know. How horrendously embarrassing,
though, to be out on your bike with your bird on the back - and to be
overtaken by a guy wearing skateboards. BMW rider, obviously.

As a video, I prefer this one

(not safe for the safety nazis)

Concerning that Blondeau, I'd ask him to post the full video from top of the
hill til down, so that actual times can be seen. I wonder an average bike
rider (meself included) would put him where he and his
coffee-machine-transformer-robot disguise deserve. He may have faster ronund
the corner speed, but neither acceleration nor braking.

  5. Put him against a Harley, then. That would even things up.

I've only just been made aware of him by another hill climber. At least
we should be able to beat him going the other way. There used to be the
odd, impromptu, gravity games downhill race with dead engines on the
return run down some hills. Not these days though - strictly no
overtaking, no stoppies, and no wheelies on the way back up the paddock
    road once back under power.

I thught he was auditioning for the job as lead singer in Oasis
Well he ain't got no engine and he ain't got no brakes either, so no
    surprises there.

Funny how this crops up again and again...
Just a few days ago, a bodysurfing friend and I were talking about the
Olympics. Bodysurfing is all about riding waves prone and headfirst.
There are some similarities to motorcycling. It's all about G forces
and trajectories - finding the right line. I mentioned this vid. I
think it's amazing and would love to try it, but I don't think I've
got the balls for it at this old age. He found that for $65, a tourist
can ride the skeleton at the Lake Placid, New York, Olympic village.
    Might be fun.
