My new (120 miles) Dakar has cut out on me twice, I am obviously
taking it back in for them to look at it. Are there any known issues?

The bike is a cracker & I hope it's just summat & nowt.

It's fucked. I'll give you £15 for it if you leave it with a full
    tank.

Also, a quicke search on Google for "GS Dakar cutting out" brought up,
"The crankshaft sensor on the Dakar turned the last three days of the
trip into a real worry as the bike started to cut out."

It doesn't appear to be a common problem, but it's a new bike so I
guess you'll have to keep an eye on it. If it does decides to do it
again over the next few months then have a word with BMW. Not that
    they'll care, mind.

He should have got a KTM if he wanted something like the Dakar.

Are you starting it with the throttle slightly open? If you are thern
when you leave it to tick over it will cut out. Starting hot or cold
leave your hands off the throttle
