GS500's are not sportsbikes

  2. Doesn't it rather depend on ones definition of sports and ridden? I
    mean in your case it involves a fair deal of falling off.

    To make hasty progress I tend to just wack the throttle then change up. In
    short giving it a hard time. It's not good for the poor little engine. From
    now on "it's horses for courses" [1].
