been thinking about getting one to get me back into biking after a 5 year
    break
I like the styling and can reach the ground fairly comfortably, but what are
they like to ride and are there any issues I should be aware of ?

my last bike was a GSXF600, which I thought was pretty heavy and not too
    comfortable on long rides

have also seen them at very discounted prices, local dealer wants £4999 but
some around the South East are advertising them (on Autotrader) for £4299,
    which seems bloody cheap...

    thanks
    Les

Aprilia RSV Mille rider whose girlfriend bought a GSR600 has been
extensively spotted having fun on SWMBO's bike.

Light and manoeuvrable, I'd say it is somewhere half way between a GS500 and
    Fazer 600.

Much closer to the Fazer on the power side.

No issues in the first 10Mm (*)

(*) 10 Megameters or 10.000 Kms, for the metric pedantics.

    I agree. V.Heavy indeed.
In my opinion the SV650 is a better bet. They are under £4,000 new and
handle quite well with a pokey engine.

I have owned one now since Nov last year, having pranged my SV650. I
ride it on a daily for a 20 mile commute through town.

I prefer the GSR600 it's better handling than the SV650 IMO and it's
quicker, a bit heavier, the fuel consumption is similar. I'd say the
finish was better on the GSR600, I quite like the styling with the
under seat exhaust. The front light is bright judging from motorists
reactions in front of me but it doesn't do much to light the way, I
guess it's rather too diffuse for that. Brakes are good though I'm
having some issues with the one of the front calipers binding.
