GTR14 recall

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by Wicked Uncle Nigel, Feb 29, 2008.

  1. It seems there have been some cases of GTR14 panniers going AWOL, so the
dealer has been in touch to invite me in for a warranty replacement of
    the lock mechanism.

That reminded me that Kawasaki *still* haven't got the top boxes out
(which is pretty shite IMHO). We're talking about him giving me a Givi
    case instead.

I didn't, but I didn't really look too hard. I was pretty busy, TBH.

Look at how long it took Kwak to sort out various problems with the
original GTR1000, with the added complexity of the GTR1400 I wouldn't
expect it to happen any quicker.

Oh, and if you don't already know, make sure you google for how to
mount the Givi topcase properly as lots of folk have broken the OEM
    rack when adding a topcase.

I've just gotten my annual bonus and I'm feeling wicked thoughts
about putting it toward a GTR14. I'm sure after a nice Chinese all
that sort of thing will pass.
