gumed rings ??? xr 600

    Just wondering what causes rings to gum up just rebuilding a 85 xr 600 bore
    is good and piston hasent grabed rings seem ok but they have gumed up stuck
    to the ring lands .
    wondering if any has had this problem and what causes it im thinking either
    oil or fuel .
    anyone got a cam for 85 xr 600 or know were i can get one ?
