Well the sig change is now official.

Waved off the MilleGT/Squire RS3 just now. Nice guy bought it out of his
personal injury fund after an accident on solo. Can't handle the weight
of a solo anymore. He brought a Guzzi expert mate with him to give it a
check out and ride it back home for him. Hoping the leading links will
make it OK for him as he has lost a bit strength in one shoulder.

Sorry to see it go, but he sounds as if he will give it the TLC it has
been missing recently and ride it more than I ever would again.

So now I just need to sort out the WR250 clutch. BTW this looks as if it
needs a double contact single filament tail bulb (no brake light switch
fore or aft) . Never come across one before but it will be a '209' by
the look of a quick google.

So what are you replacing it with?

In a similar vein, I recently saw a Guzzi 1100 Quota combination on
    ebay.

If I'd had the money I'd have been tempted for a laugh.

Much like accurately reversing a trailer.

Do you use Linux, by any chance?

It's amazing how much fun a crap old Ukrainian heap can be in the hands of a
complete numpty. And how much noise it makes when the exhaust falls off.

Have you been watching me? I must confess that I am rather out of
practice these days, since I stopped doing the full hill climb circus
tour. In those days I lived in a narrow cul-de-sac and had to reverse
the trailer into and up a steep narrow drive (too steep to unhitch and
push). I got quite adept at it fortunately, so as not to piss of my
neighbours who were coming and going too much.

I did once but I managed to kick the habit.

Fond memories though of early adventures with an ME29 and connecting an
Apple II to a serial printer port to suck data off it. Central IT seemed
unimpressed by my two straightened out paperclips interface (worked
    though).

My old mate Toby (Champ knows who I mean) and I were 1981 sidecar hill
climb champions at the Batley MCC Baitings Dam series on his Urinal.
I was monkey. He used to purposely ride the back tyre over the grass to
get it slippy so it would not bog down off the line.

Naturally we were the only outfit that did all the meetings ;-)

You should have used OEM tyres.
People seem to fear outfits, for some reason.

  10. They're available if you dig around. Not a terribly common fitment, but
    definitely out there.
