You'll have to pull Shellie's rubber bra off to work out which way
up she really goes ... anyway, that one looks like it's got two H1 or H3
    bulbs, or whatever they're called.

    big pair of headlights though

They are H4 Globes, and by the looks of it, they are facing different
    directions each.

Like i said, does it matter one bit, the power still flows upside down

  5. It only matters when some mad and annoyed copper gives you mo fo tickets for
having lights that are brighter on low beam!

Uh ... I can't help looking at that wiring harness and noticing that
each of them has _two_ wires running to it, not _three_. And that it's
the fairing off your CBR600F4i, which has a low on one side and a high
on the other and takes two H7 bulbs.

I mean, unless you've, you know, used lots fo hot-melt glue to get them
    H4s in already.

Doesn't matter, just turn the bike the other way if it doesn;t fit.

Hey Nathan; H4 doesn't just mean "Halogen".

    The H4 is the dual-filament high/low general-purpose halogen bulb.

It actually has a little reflector in it and points the low-beam light off
at an angle and thus has to be put in the right way around or it'll dip
    "up" instead of down.

From the mid 90s the single-filament H1, H3, H7 etc bulbs became more
common as separate, directional high and low-beam headlights (or partitions
    within headlights) became the norm.

Your fairing looks like it has the separate type of headlights (for which
the up/down of the bulb wouldn't matter)

    Cheers ..... Clem

  10. Try jumping. 'Up' is the first one. It's the same for everything.
