Because when you're young and stupid, brand names are really important.

 

Mine had a few thousand on it before a top sped run was made. I had to wait
for the correct conditions as well. Indicated 265 was orright I reckon.
Again ran out of road.

I saw 240 on the XJ at Phillip Island so I was eager to see what I could get out of the Trump but once it got
over 200-ish it was just a blur.
(The fact that it was a stupid 320kmh speedo didn't help as it made the graduations very close together).

 

Nah it was good. Nice, flat, smooth bit of road. The speedo didn't jump
around the place, nice and easy to read. Not that I looked at it much...

Being dragooned into the wet jocks competition as a requirement for a
similar number of wet t-shirt entrants (and being allowed to stay on the
stage area for the wet t-shirt at the bike rally *grin*) must surely be an

[1] Yes this was quite a while ago... and no... I wouldn't put my pot gut up
there now! this particular errmm hobby is much better restricted to, if not
the youngish and fit, then at least the fit ;-)

 

take a run up the oxley hwy, and take the run into Walcha, if you cant
run out out there, you wont do it anywhere.. 255 our of VFR 2 up on
the Walcha to oxley way

 

Now i am just old and stupid (well older at least ) ) yeah name brands

I haven't been to Goldfields rally since the late 80's actually, and it used
to be a different site then. I don't do many rallies now (which is a
shame), but I don't have the spare weekends like I used to. Golden Dragon
will be the next one (and that's still a while off).
