Nope, never needed to even consider one, who wants to be a glorified
    bus driver.

Think South Africa and needing to fly on an employers business which
is not permitted on a PPL.[1] Get to a site and back in a day instead
of 3 days minimum bouncing delicate instuments around in a commpany
    car on SA dirt roads.

None of which would make a lot of sense in the UK so I understand your
    confusion.

[1] Officially, but many people do it until they get to the 150 hours
required for a CPL there. Questions are not generally asked unless
something goes wrong but not having a CPL after around 150 hours is
considered to be taking the piss.

You not watching the prog on Sky these days where some loony-tunes is free
diving with the sharks? And getting them to come to him by lobbing a huge
chunk of meat and chum into the water?

There's likely to be an outcry when he gets gobbled [1]

    [1] F'narr.

An IMC rating applies ONLY to PPL Holders.
A Commercial Pilots Licence (CPL) needs a full Instrument Rating or nothing.

Three letters and a question mark added to an entirely unsnipped post.

See how I've left the relevant attributions and taken away the text
that isn't relevant to the sub conversation? Look, learn, sort it out.
    It makes reading easier.

But if it wasn't for behaviour like that, I wouldn't have been one of
the top bandwidth sulrping posters for 2009!

This award isn't just for me, it's for all the little people who's
drivel I could leave un-snipped. For the rants, and the flames, the MI5
conspiracy nutters and the dribbling newbies.
It's not for Nige, Beav or Lady Nina.

    Eye thenk ewe.

  10. And if you want to see what the whole conversation is about, you have
to go back and search through posts. Whereas scrolling down takes a
second. Sorry, I don't subscribe to that. It's a hangover from the
past and dial-up 2400 baud modems. You'll survive.

  14. That's all very well for people who are constantly in here. But what
about people who on look in from time to time. Snipping takes the
original context of the thread away and you have to go back and find
it. Whereas (as I mentioned before) a simple scroll down will display
the reply. I prefer oner, you prefer the other. So be it. Be a damn
boring world if we all liked the same thing.

  15. Fair enough. I use Agent as well. As I said in another post, I'd
rather just scroll down than have to go back through posts to find
what the original converstation was about.
    YMMV . . .

    I can see that :)
Well diving doesn't turn me on at all. I like air all around me, not just in
    one direction.

Because it allows us some freedom and no-one "in power" actually likes that.
And lets be right here, it's those in power who are telling us that it's
cars that are fucking up the planet.

I don't see much in the way of airports decreasing in size or customer
projections for the next ten years either, but there's money to be made in
    taxes from them thar 'planes.

Which bit of "If you want people to read what you write" did you not
understand? Your preferences in that context are immaterial.
