Thats what I just found in our back garden. It looks like a bird was
trying to scoff it but it got free. There's a big lump of it's tail
missing and cuts across it's body.

As a slow worm is a lizard and lizards are capable of regrowing bits
IIRC, can it survive this or does it need the kindly heel of a boot?
The future of a living breathing(?) creature is at the hands of the
    UKRM jury.

It'll recover a lot quicker if you microwave it

Hmmm. It just sort of went dry and wrinkly. Does it need rehydrating
now to make it feel better?

    Will it blend?

Probably a cat rather than a bird. Mine find slow worms from time to time
and I have had to rescue them. Its a protected species so a call to the
RSPCA should ensure it gets the best chance of recovery.

Probably a bit late for this post now, but the tail will regrow.
