For a while I've thought the ZRX had some kind of wierd jiggle about it,
particularly when loaded up with luggage. I'd put it to one side, and
figured it might just be the tires.

Today I spotted what might just be the cause.

The bolt that holds the swingarm in, doesn't actually seem to have the
    nut on the end.

It probably hasn't had a nut on the end for the last 6 - 12 months.

    How did I notice this?

Well, it wasn't the handling, but the fact I got myself one of those
ABBA stands that hooks into the swingarm pivots. And there I was all set
to complain they'd given me the wrong fitment to attach onto this
    threaded bar-like thingummy...

    Doh!

Well, probably D'oh, but the swingarm bolts often have slightly
unusual retaining mechanisms, especially on some Kawasakis. Post some
    photos.

Can't be arsed with taking photos. I've looked in the service manual,
and there should definitely be a cap with an allen fitting.

Like on this, behind the sprocket cover...

Mine's just got a threaded length of metal poking out the hole.

I had some of that on my old CB175. The bolt would actually drift slowly
out of the hole, but it was easy enough to kick back in, even while riding
    along.

Turns out it's not unheard of for the ZRX to vibrate them off. Oh well,
I'll get pidcocks to order me in a new one tomorrow and treat it to a
    dab of blue Loctite.

Yes, the "chrome plug" is actually a threaded nut type thing that
secures the swingarm bolt (which can at present be pushed in and out.
hooray! Going to order a new one tomorrow.

_no_ _one_ is nearly as old as Auvache. With the exception of God. Who
    doesn't exist anyway.

You're implying that Auvache is God?

  11. Nah he is saying that God is just some wet behind the ears deity wholly
not yet in need of a razor blade.

  14. Using the patented Mavis Beacon "Hunt&Peck" Technique, platypus
He *may* just have answered the old question "So, who created God?".

Think about it. If the answer's "Auvache" then the question "So, who
created Auvache?" falls into the category of genuinely ineffable.

Because *no-one's* going to cough to that.
