I've been using this newsgroup for about six months now and it would seem
that everyone here has fallen off at one time or another... or is this not
    the case?

Yebbut I never put my hand up did I? So I'm not replying to the
"Hands up all those that have never fallen off" bit, I'm just
commenting that, being a superior riding god[1], I haven't fallen
off for a while. So "nyerr".

[1] Either that or I don't ride very fast.

  8. I haven't fallen 'off' so much as fallen 'over' whilst sitting astride
    my bike...

Hmm, well quite a few regulars *not* on the road. Track bins don't count, do
    they...

    I haven't trashed it on the road for <sucks teeth> 18 years.
    Q competition.

death with wittery prose along the lines of:

    Comes with the territory.

I can't remember how many times I've binned bikes. The worst count,
was 4 or 5 on an R80RT, when I dispatched.

I think I binned my GS125 quite a few times, but lost count, as
    learners always bin bikes.

I never binned my CHiPs Z1000 nor my 550 Zephyr though.

I binned my Fizzy once, my RD200 once, and my GS550 loads of
    times[1]. I don't think I binned the 650 Kat and I definitely
    haven't binned any bike since.

If you're not crashing you're not trying hard enough. (tm Champ?)

If you ride for long enough, you'll fall off IMO. The last asccident
that I had involved hitting a pedestrian whilst filtering. I stayed
on the bike (barely), but SWMBO fell off. The last tiem I fell off
proper was about 10 years ago.
