How proud I was of that little beastie... And it was actually a 50cc
motorcycle and not a moped - so technically illegal for me to ride
hahahahahahaha I was such a rebel.

Shame about the slightly new romantic hair-do...

Heh. Were those the things that were also called Simsons? ISTR that,
(like many MZs) they actually got a grudging nod of approval from the
roadtests of the era. Didn't they do about 45mph?

The speedo was too windscreen-wiper-like to tell, tbh.

I can remember loads, but I ain't listing them here because I use
them, and old car reg numbers, as passwords. This does create problems
when I'm trying to remember whether it was one of my old Yamahas, or
my Trophy, or my mother's old Moggy Minor, or whatever. Thank God for
    password hints.

I can remember the reg nos of every vehicle I've ever owned, but then
that only amounts to 9 bikes and 6 cars, including the current ones.

    Matchless 250 G2 - XAB 745, didn't get a reg no. with a letter at the
end until the T100SS. While we are holding ourselves up for ridicule:

I feel that is true of most of UKRM to be fair - it's not the best
    coiffured newsgroup in the world.
I've got certain ones that stick in my memory - first 'big' bike was
CXD 133M - a mint 500/4. I did some miles on that bike - including
Seville and Monaco (in seperate trips) two up with camping gear.
Brighton to Monaco in one day - riding along to Dover for the ferry
instead of using Newhaven as girlfriend of the time got seasick on
    longer crossings.
And show us scans of the tax discs.

That is true - they did go well though... Although only had a three
    speed gearbox.

I have the defence that my tragic hair pic was taken in 1978 - Champ's
was taken on the TOG-Tour last week...

Nice! I like the front number plate - sharpened like a razor - and
the look of total happiness beaming out from under the piss pot helmet.

Now I know you're lying. It's your rubber bedsheet, innit? Even at
that age you smelled of wee.

With the little cleats and things to stop me falling out of bed...
    It's a fair cop.
