    Got SMISY'd this afternoon.

New 07 Ultra classic, 180 miles on the clock, 4 days old, written off!

Stupid woman decided to turn right from the Thaxted Road, from behind a bus,
which was totally obscuring her view of the road ahead, straight across my
path. No-where to go except over the top of the bloody car. Right outside
    her bloody gaff!

Christ I feel like I've been steam-rollered, luckily now't broken, 'cept the
Hog, but well bruised and battered.

Aunty Carole is now sorting it, 2 Essex police bikes came along with the
fast response ambulance unit, and a regular ambulance. Superb people.

Upshot, the woman driver admitted full liability, the police aren't
prosecuting, as they are making her take a compulsory re-training course.
Which is probably a better idea really, points and a fine won't make her a
    better driver!

Completely T-boned the nearside rear door of the Galaxy. Tried to steer
behind her but she stopped dead when she finally saw me and blocked all
routes of exit round her. So rather than smash face first into the side of
the roof-line of the galaxy I kind of jumped up at moment of impact, held on
to the right handlebar and flipped over the top/ rear. Couldn't have planned
it better if I'd tried ;o)

Nigh 18 grand (with extras and accessories and smashed GPS and helmet and
jacket and, whatever I've forgotten!) done in less than 4 days. Works out
around 100 quid a mile. Cheap motoring.

Now back and a few beers inside, plus painkillers! WoW!

Glad to hear you're ok. Upside is you can now go and spend half the
insurance payout on a proper, lighter bike with brakes that work.

What are you going to get now?

Well, at least you're in one piece, that's what matters. Get her
inswearance to cough up for another one and everything should be back
    to normal.

    Christ, that's bad luck.

Still with 18 grand you can get a decent bike to replace it and have enough
change to take a holiday on a cruise ship ;-)

Be careful. I had a similar spill in Edinburgh 1989. It was claimed that
I was partially to blame as I should have been progressing with caution
past stationary traffic (in the other direction) in case vehicles pulled
across, this being a "Well Known Hazard". The other company was the
Co-Op insurance, well known as Uber Cunts, but it took a year to
    resolve.
