Oh the brakes worked ok, even pulled a stoppie! Which I must scared me more
than the car obstructing my forward progress!
Had it been half the weight, it may well have stopped a bit earlier, but it
wouldn't have fucked her car up as much! ;o)

Taa, and yep I had a few last night.
I really don't feel in full control of things ATM so it would be stupid to
drive. I'm having a couple of days off for sure. I'm hoping I can use my
hands properly soon. they just don't want to function properly yet, all
unco-ordinated. Doc says it'll pass in a day or so.

I was hoping for another Ultra, but it seems that it'll be at least 2 months
before one comes in from the States. SO might look at Wing, or Rocket.
    Cheers.

Could you not buy a SOB from that place in SW, Moores, I think and ride
that through winter while you wait for your new bike?

Well I must admit, Harleys are water-soluble! They certainly have a dislike
    of roadsalt
I've still got the Trumpet at the mo, so I'm not without two wheels as such.
I just hope the InsCo agree with me that after only 180 miles I should be
entitled to a Brand New bike, and not even consider a repair. When that
decision has been made I'll look at the timescale on the delivery as it'll
take at least 2 months to get a specific colour one in from the States.
Although, Black Bear have a new one in stock in my second choice of colour.
If it means that it will be in the middle of winter, I'll wait and get it
ordered ready for the riding season next year. I might even convince SWMBO
to come to the BOSM for our anniversary that way ;o)

Moores are a bunch of tosser's BTW. Peter's a very nice guy but I had a big
problem when he failed my bike for a dodgy numberplate when there was now't
wrong with it, but passed another colleagues bike with a blatantly illegal,
as in wrongly laid out ,(all letters on one line!) plate.
Shame really, cos they could have a lot of business from around here but
    they just rip people off.

Looks like I'll be on the SpillsKill ride on Saturday astride the Trumpet
instead of posing on the Hog! ;o)

Only took one, very poor quality as I only had a manky fone with me. Just my
luck really, as my own fone packed up on Sunday and a friend gave me an old
one to get me going. I didn't really know how to work the picture bit at the
time, and TBH I was a bit shaken up to sort it out at the time. The
attending plod said there would be no arguing over fault, so not to worry.
I'll post the manky pic up in a mo, when I find out where my webspace has
    been moved to.

Oh yes, the ol' "gotta have it now" syndrome :)

If I'd have waited six weeks I coulda had a '56 plate bike but Oh no..

    Was yours a '56?
They seemed alright to me but then the last time I went in there I told
'em I'd not buy the bike unless they knocked 20% off. They whined but
desisted when I pointed out the bike (CBR) could be there 'till next
spring. We settled on a 300 quid discount on a 1600 quid bike and then I
said I wanted a tank of fuel. I got it, too ;-)
    SpillsKill?

    What's that then?

Won't make a lot of difference either way really in this case, as it'll be
getting the private plate back on it. Got the retention cert through today,
    ironically!
It was. it arrived in the country Wednesday, delivered to the dealer
Thursday and PDI'd I collected it Friday lunchtime.
    That's a bonus.
They sold 'er indoors Soozy GN125 for me, and got a great price, 200 sovs
more than I wanted and that was after they took their 10% commission )
Got it round the wrong way,

    Double ouch.
Bargain. It'll hurt more tomorrow, mind - it always does.
Jump, you fucker, jump. Best way out.
Bargain! Hope you get it sorted, man. Auntie Carole's bloke was very
prompt with me when I lost the Bandit in a very similar vein.
Assessor was out within a few days and the offer made over the phone
in another couple. TOG predicted 3 grand and they offered four, so I
took their arm off. Never accept the first offer ;-)

Don't forget you want your excess and NCB back, as she should roll
over and admit liability - her InsCo will need to write to yours to
confirm that, then a cheque from her InsCo to cover your excess. Make
sure you get the admission of liability in writing from her InsCo, as
well as the restoration of your NCB from yours. Best of luck.
