Has anyone tried Conti Road Attack 2 tyres?

I have decided to get some new tyres fitted on the v-strom at the weekend.
The current tyres are Conti Road Attacks and they were pretty good.
However I am thinking about Conti Road Attack 2 as a replacement,
recommended by the tyre fitters (while replacing the ST3's rear valve) who
are pretty reliable. Online Reviews seem to be positive but I would be
interested in any informed opinions. Before the all ususal alternative
suggestions about tyres are offered - the strom has a 19" front wheel,
    which tends to limit choice.

Put a Bandit 17" front wheel in it. Easily done, it fits straight in.

Like you, I'm happy with CRAs.

Mike my bike service/tyre guy has had good reports from customers on the
CRA2. I'll go with them if the CRAs aren't available or are the same
    price next time.

As far as tyre choice is concerned, there are loads of options. Most
makers do an ADV bike type tyre like Pirelli Scorpions, Avon Distanza,
Michelin annakee, Metz Tourance, Bstone Trailwings. There are off road
options like TKC80 or Karoos. Then there are a load of sport touring
fitments e.g. Road Attacks, Bridgestone BT020 or Exedra, Pirelli
    Scorpion

Have a look at blackcircles.com for 16 options.

I already knew about most of those but I do all my miles on road so I want
a road-oriented tyre rather than a dual-purpose. It came originally with
Trailwings but handled much better with the CRAs, hence my interest in CRA
    2s.

Transfer the ABS ring from the DL to the Bandit wheel when your swop
the discs. The ABS computer doesn't give a shit about the size of the
wheel, it simply reads the difference in revolutions between front and
rear once it's moving. Ever noticed how the ABS light stays on for a
short while when you first start the bike and move off, that's when the
ABS computer is reading the variation in wheel speed from the ABS rings
and setting that as the datum.

I'd be very surprised, knowing Suzuki, if they even used two different
ABS rings on budget bikes like the Bandit and V-Strom.

Yebbut the ABS wheels, with the abs ring mounts, are about £450 new and
there aren't likely to be many second-hand bandidt abs wheels to be found.
Still, I'll bear it in mind.
