"MP beaten after confronting gang...They got angry when he took photographs
of them on his mobile phone as evidence so he could alert police. Witnesses
saw Mr Ellwood being punched in the head."

So, will he get the sympathy vote at the general election as he was kicked
in the head? Or will he be hounded as a paedophile by the Guardian as he
    took photos of youths?

  2. Frankly, I'm wondering what they make ex-Army officers of these days.
    Cream doughnuts?

"I say, you chaps, you shouldn't really be doing that, now stand still
while I take a photograph of you. Ow! Ooh! Ouch! Stoppit!"

What debate? We've had a couple of newspapers 'exposing' the scandal
of people living away from home claiming expenses then the normal
coffle break/usenet discussion about how bad they all are.

Because I'm an honest type of person I've decided that if I don't
spend all of my allocated expenses on any given day I'm going to hand
back the surplus because I'm sure my company will discount any work we
do on power stations and the savings will be passed on to the public
in the form of a reduction in their electricity bill. If only MPs were
as honest as me we'd be seeing a massive reduction in our tax bill
and the benefits could be passed on to more worthy causes.
