So what have we got?

[1] Clem makes yet another totally unfounded claim about "the end of
Ozmoto is nigh, and it's all George's and Gerry's fault." The
general goss is that he's lost the plot. Again.

[2] Clem tries yet again to ramp up his "Vote [1] Clem - Killfile
George and Gerry!" campaign. Next he'll be borrowing the Rudd Ute.
Treasury bureaucrats are leaving town in great haste.

[3] Clem finally gets a clue and twigs that he's the best thing
George and Gerry have going for them and clandestinely approaches them
to try to wangle some kind of 'cash for comment' deal. George and
Gerry tell him to **** off and get a life. Clem says "Any pointers,
George?"

<Blink> I need to do what and what? If that was an example of academic
humour, it went completely over my head - or perhaps you need to read
what I actually posted.

For the record: if there's any trolling going in this thread, it's Clem,
not Gerry; I couldn't care one way or the other about the George and
Gerry show and I haven't commented on it except to reference the posting
statistics (I only get to see half of it anyway); and if I choose to take
a shot at Gerry for what I perceive to be hypocrisy then my post is what
it is - both you and Gerry have (erroneously) assumed that if I'm
criticising Gerry I must be taking sides.

I see from Gerry's irritated response that I need to get a clue. I'll be
off to the hardware store then.

 

It' goes way beyond trolling. I'd call it more a case of Clem trying
to exert control over the newsgroup via his overt (and covert?)
campaign to have George and I (and anyone else he doesn't like)
killfiled by as many people as possible. This is not an isolated
incident. There is a timeline constituting an active campaign.

Well I fail to see how the stats you posted show anything of the kind.
Beware of focusing on blips within stats, old boy. "There are lies,

I don't have this right? And this has what exactly to do with what
is (allegedly) happening to the newsgroup and how I'm somehow
responsible for that?

I've currently got a very heavy dose of the (swine?) flu, so I'm a bit
slower than usual (if such a thing is possible), so, please forgive
any cognitive shortcomings.

The thing about Infarct Kneetrembler? That goes way back into OzMoto
ancient history. He doesn't like me because I publicly humiliated him
for publicly humilating his son. He stopped loving me. What can I

The stats I posted show that in July 2009 Frosty has posted 70 times (so
far) and Diogenes has posted 56 times (so far), and those two characters
are Nos 1 and 2 on the list of top posters. What's hard to understand
about that?

You do have that right. I wasn't suggesting you didn't. I was describing
the history of events.

Lots of them moved onto Netrider, some of them stayed but a lot have
moved even further onward from Netrider as well.

General motorcycle forums seem to be bleeding members to more targeted
interest forums as well, so what's happened to aus.motorcycles may yet
happen to the early web fora as well...
