Oh **** off already. You reply to G and/or G, you're feeding trolls.
Go read back a few posts to the bit where G-S called G (one or t'other)
on saying one thing and doing another.

GB, not a bloody academic, not even frickin' edu-ma-cated. sheesh,
talk about cutting to the bone.

if that's being elitist Gourge then so be it...

99% of things are open invite, meaning there is no invite but twats
like you are Gerry just don't get that, then whine and whinge when not
invited to a event that had no invite. who is being elitist?

how I see it is that you simply don't get how all of this all works,
there is no rules, there is no one ruling it, but you and Gerry want
it all written down and regulated.. one day you 2 will wake up and
realise there is no rules, there is now one controlling it and you
just might just fit in, until that day you will simply not fit in, its
is going to take more effort on your behalf than the rest..most of us
dont care, turn up to an event, have a beer, have a laugh, tell a
story and it will be all good, this is nothing to do with ausmoto, its
got to do with human nature and at this time you 2 are acting like
apes with shit stuck to their hair covered with ants...

if you actually turned upto to something, acted like a human being and
had a laugh and drink like the rest you just might fit in, but no, you
act like dicks and want it your way, the rest of us just accept the
way it is a enjoy in the way it is...

if you and Gerry think that is controlling, so be it, we will laugh at
your expense while having a drink...

Oh don't go mentioning invitations and Gerry in the same sentence.
He'll go and have a big ol' hissy fit and vow to never grace aus.moto
    with his presence again, again.

Marty; please stop replying to G&G.
It's all a test to see how stupid you are and if you play you lose.
It doesn't matter if you're right or your point is the only logical one
because it's a stupid-race and you cannot win; if you're stupid enough to
    play you can lose.
Did I mention that if you play you lose?

  13. I don't think it is a delivery issue. I have 3 different ISPs here -
the main three and they all show low.

Telstra comes into work on fibre optic.
Home is on Telstra ADSL, but I stopped using that a while back and
switched to my 3G USB key and left my flatmate to deal with her own
internets. I've also got a Bigpond USB 21 Meg NextG key.
My HTC phone can deliver internets to my laptop as can the USB. The
    HTC is on Optus.
The second phone is on Vodaphone. All of them can access news services
and I see little difference in post counts.
My domain is hosted through Netspace and delivered by whichever
connection I am using at the time. Working through there gives me no
    more posts.
Peoples are stopping using the usenet folks . . .
We are the fax machine of the digital era for this generation.

  14. Agreed. And if you check my post further back up you'll see that I
post mostly on a music forum. We stripped that back to bare bones and
left it so you could just post images and not the glossy over the top
stuff. Works well. But I am afraid that is where it is heading. I had
the same argument in the 80s in Television when we starting really
heading in the American direction. I was directing News and Sport at
Channel 7 in Melbourne as the rebuild of the VFL/AFL was happening and
I hated the diretion we ended up going and had huge arguments with
management and the producer how it was destroying the integrity of it.
Stuffing shitloads of statistics and shiny graphics instead of just
watching the game was fucking it up. I still think I am right but I
lost the argument. In the end I didn't really care as I wasn't a
football fan anyway, but the direction was happening across the board.

This is the same as what is happening here. And it is unstoppable.

We got to rely on people like Betty to give us words and get away from
    this bullshit gloss.

    </rant>

PS - Betty - check your email - I sent you one about 12 hours ago and
thought you'd be interested, but not 100% sure the address was the
same as a few months back.

And any of you other bastards wot haven't read any of her books, I
finally read "The Water Boy's Story" last night and couldn't put it
down. Fucking nice work. Read the whole book in one go. Highly
    recommended.

Yep, you got it right - I loved the story of the teeth - was misbehaving and
reading it at work, though, and wanted to dignify it with a proper reply -
and then I came home and opened a bottle of red to celebrate being on TWO
WEEKS LEAVE and.... you know how it is. Will respond this morning.
Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Glad you liked it! My old boss bought a copy and hung
onto it for ages, then finally read it. He phoned me at home to say "I've
just finished reading it and - I really enjoyed it!" He sounded so
surprised, ha ha ha. Cracked me up...

knobless attempting to be head of the bunch again
I know that the knobless one will not see this as he has me on his

His fan club is getting smaller every day

    Hi Kevin.

You are, of course, right, but I rather prefer you skiting about all
your youthful girlfriends than your excessive internet connections. ;-)

On one of the Triumph sites, I can manage to use up most of my monthly
data allowance just reading one post, with multiple pictures of a new
black street triple that someone has just bought, and looks exactly like
all the other black street triples that other people have bought (and
posted about, with pics) previously, including their nauseating wee
"signatures" of moving, scantily clad, massively over endowed ladies. :-(
