Train from MK to Penrith is 3 1/2 hours. Do the hand over is about an
hour, then ride back is about 5 hours to Timo's, then train home from
there is another 2 hours. A day at the most.

  2. Oh, right, I was envisaging driving with a van or trailer.

Penrith is a lot easier to get to - train to Penrith from here is 5 1/2
hours. To Seascale (nearest station to the bike) it's about 8 hours.

Why the **** would you tow a trailer all the way up there and then all
the way back when the bike is capable of running under its own pow...
Ah... it's a BMW - it all becomes clear now :)

Is Mr Bonwick still working out of Barrow in Furness on occasion?
That's just up the road from Seascale

I didn't know the bike was on the west coast of Cumbria. Seascale is
where that power station is situated, and I thought if Andy was working
there then maybe he might be able to give a lift to the person
collecting the bike. At least the ride back is a little shorter than
from Penrith as you join the M6 at jct 37 not 40.

Well, if you're up for it I'd be happy for you to do this. I promise I
won't try to take photos of you on a BMW, either. Well, maybe one or
    two...

    I have a black visor.

Count me in. If you win the auction drop me a line and I'll make myself
    available.

England's third-largest (I'm sure it used to be second, did
Lincolnshire grow or something?) but eighth-least populated county
contains a lot of places which could be considered "the middle of

the west coast of nowhere, about an hour from me.

We're not talking about luggage or similar here, but a rather more
complicated bolt on that tends to cost rather a lot of money to make.

It's OK Timo. You can say the word without us all sniggering [1]
