Well the clip says "brand new" Gixxer so I'd say you're half right -
that'll be the tyre that was fitted at the factory, yes.

First time the lad has ridden a litre bike on green tyres (possibly even
the first time he's ridden a litre bike) I suspect. That crash was wind
on too much throttle (spins up) and then release (hey mum look I can fly)

didnt have far to go for repairs.. then again on modern bikes, that
could be a write off.
