    I can't believe I don't know the answer to this - I am truly a TC.
Should the 'level' bit of the headlight beam (not the bit that kicks
up) be horizontally aligned to the lane you're in, or the lane to the
right? I.e. on a single carriageway road, should the kick-up start at
the left curb or the centre of the road (or somewhere in between)?

Googling hasn't helped, other than to provide this:

I'm pretty sure the 0% line = the middle of your lane. So the kick
starts just after the left of centre of your lane.

OK, follow-up question, should the kick be horizontally aligned to the
same point for both lights on a car?

No. This wouldn't be possible anyway, except at any one given
distance. In practice they should both be heading straight forward,
with the 'kick' points therefore the same distance apart as the
    lights.

Yeah, I was thinking of the point at which they hit the road.
    Ta.

    OIC.

Yes, they should be the same distance in front of the car.
