... for those riding in Brunstromia. He's now given his boys an R1200GS in standard red, it has a teensy little camera flag that flips over the screen and the "plain" clothes plod sits behind it with the speed camera. -- Steve Parry BMW R80RS, BMW R45, 03 BMW R1100S Boxercup, 07 K1200GT SE 95 BMW F650, 87 Yamaha FS1, Sukida SK90PY, 91 Kawasaki AR50, 07 VW Passat SE Estate for comfort www.gwynfryn.co.uk
No thanks to a group of oncoming bikes giving me the slow down signal, to be honest he was so tucked into the side of the road I'd have just thought it was someone stopping to take tourist snaps. -- Steve Parry BMW R80RS, BMW R45, 03 BMW R1100S Boxercup, 07 K1200GT SE 95 BMW F650, 87 Yamaha FS1, Sukida SK90PY, 91 Kawasaki AR50, 07 VW Passat SE Estate for comfort www.gwynfryn.co.uk
Sneaky cunts - it'd be a damn shame if someone accidentally managed to lose control and wiped the bike out.
Yesterday in Southend, was a scamera van near the football ground, snaffling motahs going in that direction. We on the other hand going out of town noticed that the sneaky cunts had a mini gatso hidden behind the front of the van snitching rear number plates after they went past! Bikers beware!! -- Greybeard FLHR -03 UK (95 cu-in Stg 2. Big Boy 2!) Garmin Zumo 550, To get me home! ukrm@foxtails[dot]co[dot]uk
Bedfordshire Police have a number of unmarked bikes, mainly used for surveillance work but occasionally pressed into service by traffic if they have a particular problem to address. In the past they've had a Thunderace identical to my old one, a VFR750FV, VFR800i, a couple of R1s, Fireblades etc. I'm informed they are usually bikes that have been snatched from criminals and are put to use beating crime instead of being a reward for it. My sister told me HMCE in Dover were using an FJ1200 they'd got suspicious about, and was found to have a split fuel tank with a fuel capacity of 1 litre for fuel and 18 litres of drugs. One officer noted the same bike flitting back and forth on trips to France and being a biker wondered how many miles it had done. The answer was surprisingly few, less than 5,000. When he took into account the amount of times he'd seen it, the stories the rider told of going to Germany etc and the fact the bike was registered in the north of England he became suspicious and the rider was stopped when he re-entered the port, and the bike stripped. HMCE kept the bike as proceeds of crime and used it on suspect follows.
Ah so this is why Brunstroms boys have been threatening to seize the bikes of anyone they deem to have caused an offence [1]. Cheap way of changing the trafpol fleet I guess [1] as reported in this weeks MCN -- Steve Parry BMW R80RS, BMW R45, 03 BMW R1100S Boxercup, 07 K1200GT SE 95 BMW F650, 87 Yamaha FS1, Sukida SK90PY, 91 Kawasaki AR50, 07 VW Passat SE Estate for comfort www.gwynfryn.co.uk
Using the patented Mavis Beacon "Hunt&Peck" Technique, Vass I *cannot* understand why anyone with a **** OFF YOU NOSEY ****[1] choice lives or visits Wales. There are *nice* places, with only moderately fascist police forces, one could live in instead FFS. [1] Sorry, in a hotel bar and there was a chap standing behind me reading my screen. He's gone now.
