    Heh - very true.

Though I reckon this be could be worked around with a bit of ingenuity.

As has been discussed here, for whatever reason the Japs seem to put
all their effort into making that one extra BHP everywhere at the
expense of any kind of real development on the more touring side of
things (with maybe the exception of the FJR or Pan Euro, but even then).

    Like decent heating/weather proofing/headlights etc.

Well in technology terms the engines and chassis of modern bikes are
incredible, the ancillaries OTOH are generally speaking shite. It's
amazing how bad some headlights are, in this day and age all bikes
should have 2 and probably HID on faster models. Bars, seats and pegs
should be adjustable. Grips heated. Proper OEM luggage kits optional and
affordable, even on sports models. While Bonners probably DGAF most of
    the buying population probably does.

Well yes - a bicycle is more adjustable than your average bike :)

    Shall we start a petition?

Tommaselli did years ago but doubt they are still available. Gilles do
now but they are very expensive. Tarozzi.
