It is a bit of a shaggy dog story. That said, it's aired on 'Network
TV' (i.e. not cable) so the content is neutered by FCC compliance.

The first series was logical (if fucking dull). It's called Prison
Break. They're trying to break out of prison. Fine. Then came series
two. They've broken out, I can see this running out of material fa...
oh, now they're back in prison trying to break out again.

    No wonder it was cancelled.

OK, but there's a caveat; we only have the pikey Virgin Media package.

*perk* Cheers Champ. This one has passed me by. I shall suck and see.
If only there was some other way of viewing broadcast content.

Well, quite, but to be perfectly frank, ICBA with
downloads/torrents/HTPCs etc., etc., so I guess crap TV is a price I'm
    going to have to pay

Absolutely correct - you're not. You are, quite simply, meaningless.

All shot on film (not digital), all produced with real budgets, all
aimed at world distribution as well as the home market.

Quite simply, and I hate to say it, intelligently thought out TV drama
production. You don't get that in the UK anymore.

Vote by ratings. A company can spend a relatively small amount on a
reality TV show and get 2 million viewers, or they can spend a
relatively large amount on a drama and get slightly fewer viewers.

As it's all about viewing figures, there's one simple, logical,
financial winner. The votes been counted and intelligent adults lost.

It's either US drama or Eastenders. Nice choice...

It's already been said - it's a school for complete novices. But saying
that didn't have anywhere near the same impact.

In fairness, Paul hadn't met him before. Had that not been the case it
could have been a whole different ball game.

That was my point. I mentioned in an e-mail to a mate about 2 years ago
that the best TV was being generated by US cable companies. Still no
    change.

The audience in the US is, what, five times the size? Bigger audience =
more advertising = more money = higher quality programming.
