We got rained off just before lunch, so we only missed one session. Track dried really quick due to wind. -- Nige, BMW K1200S Range Rover Vogue Aprilia RSV Mille
There is a hell of a lot to take in on your second go at track riding & the first go on a racebike. I wasn't born able to track ride, so it may take a while to get up to speed, but I'll get there. Smoothness is the key, i just wanted to hammer the **** out of the bike to see what it could do, now I know what it's capable of I need to improve my technique to see what we're both really capable of. Ability is all relative, but yes, my downshifts where terrible, but on road I don't have that problem at all. I had a bit of a problem memorising the track too, it's very long. I'm sure it'd take me more than a while to get up to speed and I probably don't have that much time left to me-) It was the "clutch in and wait" thing I was "concerned" about. I told a pal of mine not to do that when he began riding, but he couldn't get his head around getting the revs up mid change in an attempt to match wheels speed to engine speed and it resulted in him locking the back wheel and the bike sliding out from under him when the back wheel locked (SV1000). I'd hate to see that happen at speed with anyone else I know. Wheelies over the mountain? Vid please -- Beav VN 750 Zed 1000 OMF# 19
Looks like you were hating every second of it. You should sell me that bike for a huge loss before you get hurt or end up hating bikes forever
