So your happiness level will come down to the package, as tyey have now
entered 90 day consulting period, they should be coming up pretty
quickly with what package is on offer I would expect.

 

It's looking pretty good, actually. My job is safe. Voluntary
redundancy is being offered to everyone, irrespective of
job/position/risk etc and it's a tempting sum, too.

 

Don't they care about the publication going on?

All they usually care about is their own jobs, or how much they can get
out of it.

 

Well, as boxerboy sagely pointed out (it hadn't occurred to me) if you
express interest in the voluntary redundancy package, and the manglement
really wants to keep you, they might get worried and up the ante to make
you stay, as it were.

 

Thats one take on it, or they may decide that its not worth keeping
someone who wants to leave ....
