the units we use work extremely well but you don't get much change out
of $800.00 wholesale with the cam running about $230 plus gst and the
recorder and power-pack making the rest
if you power from the bike expect a $150.00 cam to do a steller job
and a portable usb drive will do for a couple of hours recording

Shame it has come to that but its a fact people will use any excuse to
be an utter arse claiming irresponsibility has it's own rewards and no
    consequence
for the operative it may well be a position of survival of the shift
    without injury
    I don't
    (Many
next time check your information as this is now completly wrong and
the new cams don't have a problem , all to do with filters and sensitivitys
    misinforming people so is folly

Yeah, sometimes it's better to just pay the $77 speeding fine.

Zebee, I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt
and just assume that you're having an obtuse day.

(Again, that's got nothing to do with what I said. 'living in
a community' and 'not being a dickhead' are *entirely* different
things to self-surveillance and self-restraint imposed as a
result of an awareness of the possibility of surveillance.)

I'm interested to know what form of 'poor riding' he thinks
they encourage. (I don't have an opinion, I'm just interested).

So how is the divorce panning out for you?

Uhm actually, that was a bit much. Sorry 'bout that.

GB, an apology? Smack in the middle of Harsh Week? What is the
    world coming to?

  7. Bush lawyer (in a crowd) told a few of us the following at the AGM.
Apparently, a GPS log cannot be used as a defense in a court of law.
Neither, apparently, can digital photos. Don't know why digital video
    should be treated any differently.

What I wanted to know was, how come CTV footage could be used. Reply was
that it was analogue and less susceptible to being altered in an
    undetectible way.

The good shit or bull shit?

I saw a piece on the news I think a few years back about a real estate
person who took a speed camera fine to court. Argued that in his
profession digital photography was not acceptable as evidence in the
same court. Magistrate agreed. Prosecutor had to try to prove the case
against him without using the speed camera photo as evidence.

It's a claim recently defeated in court to my understanding , we have
used digital video in court with success as the cctv cams were ip based
the ruling has to apply to digital storage in the near future due to
watermarking , now the thing is the video has to be handled with a
certain methodology and that's very difficult when the goal posts are
moved at every opportunity and hidden just to make it hard .
Analogue is more difficult to alter and very very hard to hide ,
digital can be detected due to certain traces which can't be masked but
it does require more than mums video player to find it so of course the
    coppers oppose it atm .
