If you read the article, the lack of helmet doesn't make the cyclist more
'visible' it simply means that the drivers leave more room when they
overtake. I'm not in the habit of being overtaken on my motorbike, are you?

I can be by pushbikes. They are a tad more manouvrable between bumpers,
plus the fuckers never stop on red.

You know what pisses me off about pushbike riders? It's the cnuts that
ride between the middle and outside lane on three lane roads going at
    10kph.

Some of us do. I've never run a red when on the pushbike.

    You too, huh?

I do it 'cos I'm impatient. Mind you, I've started to avoid the lights
I habitually jump by taking another route. No point in asking for
    trouble really.

I ignore some reds on my motorbike. 'cos the bike won't trigger the
exit lights at my local Tesco.

There is a set like that near me. Late at night tends to be more of a
problem because of the lack of other vehicles. During the day it isn't
    too much of a problem.

I've noticed more and more of the road traffic acts and highway code come
    under my definition of "Advisory".

Perhaps it was simply a FOAD Affro wig?

I know the guy. He looked like a mid-eighties German heavy metal star:
    beard and long blond hair.
