Help! Bike won't start

  1. We have actually had a couple of frosts lately. Not that I usually see
such things. "Un caballero no se levanta hasta que el sol haya calentado
la acera" or something like that.

Don't ask me mate I'm having a bad fettling day. Swapped the front
disk on the GS last week no problem. Tried to do the back one today
and the first allen pin I tried rounded off despite some serious heat
    being applied first!

Put the wheel to one side whilst I ponder the problem and did a couple
of other tasks. Everything went wrong so I've come in and left it for
    the moment.

Bostin for a pee but I'm not going because the type of day I'm having
my knob will probably come off in my hand.

Was going to re string my 12 string guitar butgoing to leave it until
i'm not having a bad fettling day

Bollocks. I've known plenty of cheap batteries last a lot longer with
    irregular use.

My CBR600 battery is 3 years old and cost peanuts, it rarely gets used
because it's on my trackbike but a sticking it on the Optimate
overnight two or three times a year seems to do the trick. I stuck the
SpazzTrakka battery on charge the other night, put it on the bike the
next day and it fired up within 5 seconds of pressing the button - that
bike hasn't moved since March last year when I bought the Versys. The
battery is also about 3 years old and came from the same maker as the
    CBR one as well.
