Recently returned to biking, but my 1986 Suzuki DR600 won't start :( Its a
600 single cylinder with two sparkplugs coming off one ignition coil. I
don't have a spark. I have changed the plugs and plug caps, charged
battery - used a booster battery, etc. When it was nearly dark, I did see
a weak spark when I held a bare ht lead just off of the engine.

I have got a multimeter.. Can anyone tell me how the hell I can get this
thing going again - what and how to test? Pleaaasse...

    Check the coil first..
Primary resistance (between HT leads) should be up in the 10KOHM range.
Secondary resistance (power from loom and wire from CDI unit) should be
    either 2 or 3 OHM.
Check the manual for exact figures, anything varying more than 10% +or-
    means a new coil.
Check your getting power to the coil.
Double check the battery and connections.
Check the clutch cut-out and side-stand switches (if fitted).
If this all checks out suspect the CDI unit.
