What's good to go and ride down that's accessible from west London (Acton)?

Knocking off wing mirrors is fun enough, but I've not been for a thrash
down anything that's not an Mxx for ages. It looks vaguely sunny out and
I'm achieving no appreciable study at the moment.
I need to be back in London at about 5:30 to pick up my nhs smack from
    the chemists.

    Any suggestions?

Head out to the Swindon junction of the M4 and come back on the A4 via
Marlborough and Hungerford, with the odd detour for fun.

Seeing as you haven't a great deal of time, and assuming you haven't
left, M4 to Jct 8/9, then A330 through Holyport, Winkfield to Ascot
then Sunninghill, picking up the A30 back into town or even double back
through the Great Park and Windsor back to Jct 6 of the M4.

You wouldn't know about it, unless you read all Bear's posts, which of
course you don't, but it's a sort of public healthcare system for the
    poor.

    A406, A4, M4, off at J12, A4 to Hungerford, A338 to Wantage, A4130 to
Wallingford, A329 to Thame, B4011 to Bicester, A4421 to Tingewick, A421
to Buckingham, A413 to Amersham, A355 to Beaconsfield, M40, A40.

Though I'd probably do it the other way round and leave the motorway
stint to the end instead. Hell, I'm bookmarking that and doing it myself
next time I fancy a day out.
