Totally the wrong guy for the job with the wrong brief and it's the MDs
    fault. Clueless, absolutely clueless.

Made for good TV mind :D

Liver casserole, I think. The new menu's up on the web site, I suspect
the Heston stuff is under Winter Warmers. The shitty Olympic Breakfast
    is still there.

Bet it gets harder to book a table at the Hind's Head though. Wonder if
    Bear's been yet.

I have to agree, his ideas are so contradictive, he wants radical
change, but without changing anything. I reckon he'll just take them
down further than they already are.

I should hope so too. How can we host an olympics if we can't even
give the athletes their breakfast, eh?

Why? I'd rather wait and have them know I'm there instead of just
sitting down and hoping to get their attention.

Christ, my attention span's getting worse. Either that or I've developed
    virtual narcolepsy.

    Ah, ISWYM now.
The last time I used a Little Chef was on a BOTAFOT, about 7 or 8 years
ago and I think the dozen or so bikers stood waiting to be seated were
    fairly obvious!

TBH anyone standing at the entrance of a Little Chef, waiting to be
seated, will be fairly inconspicuous if only by dint of their presence.

Yes, he seems to have an idea of what he's talking about. It just seems
so obvious that he really isn't the man for this job though.

Thinking about what I'd like as a LC customer, it certainly wouldn't be
the poncy stuff he's come up with, although I do like that kind of thing
    - in the right place. I actually reckon they've made the dishes to big,
and too expensive, a smaller platter for half the price, and cooked
better is all they need to do, IMHO.

I had to use the services on the M1 today, as it happens, and we
reluctantly bought a lunch at Watford Gap. The size of the meal was OK,
I don't want to stodge up on a journey, but £5 for sausage, chips and
beans is a piss take. It was cooked OK, but the quality of the
ingredients was shite (I'd be very surprised if they actually cost more
    than 20p).

Quite. It seems instinctive that the cost of the ingredients is the
last place one should be looking to economise.

Absolutely. Mind you, even Gordon Ramsey has a good idea of doing god
    food for a reasonable price.
Of course. Although in this case, I'd put it in the 'bad' publicity
    section.
    Aye.

Hmmmm... more interesting last night, less like restaurant crash TV.
Seemed Heston has a good down to earth ideas how to improve LC, at least
without vast quantities of liquid nitrogen. Seems his redesign of the
    breakfast went down well.

At the end of the day, I don't eat at LC because I believe the
ingredients in their processed foods will be the lowest quality. I've
no idea if they are, but that's just the way it comes across to me.
Less quantity and better quality and I'd give it consideration next time
    I'm at services.

The MD is just a f**k-wit.

Prices for meals from the third show. I was thinking less quantity and
more quality, but £14 for a main meal at LC! There is no way anybody is
(currently) going to pay that. You'd stop off at a pub or something
instead. LC would have to totally reinvent itself. Yeah I know that's
the point of the show, but something about putting "lipstick on a
    pig..." comes to mind.

    £14, bonkers.
