I don't allow irony in my threads... and if it happens I ignore it *grin*
Not typical departure or arrival points? You obviously don't provide
coaches for victorians to travel around sydney in :)
That's the way I normall go.
Can't take a bus that way you know... not allowed to in places.
    Buses have parking restrictions too!
    Heh.. well there is that!

Errm well I can see grounds for a jaundiced view of Sydney,I can't even
begin to imagine how crappy it would be trying to punt a decent sized
coach around some bits of Sydney. A half arsed sized Pan-Tech is enough
of a pain in the arse (not that I do that regularly either).

Why on earth would they want to go to the zoo by road in the first place
? Take 'em down to the rivercat wharf 5mins up the road and bung em on a
boat - far more pleasant for them, and you can bugger off and have a kip
or read a stick mag or troll on ausmoto*
    WTF !!? WHERE ???

Vic rd, gladesville, iron cove, harbour and anzac bridges all have buses
go over them regularly (STA), the rest of it is regular rd can't recall
    any restriction signs ?

    JL (puzzled)
    *according to your preference :)

All well and good, but you'll note that he cleverly took pretty much
the whole description I gave, and distilled it down to "until you
start seeing signs that say harbour bridge, you have about 10 options".

    Cheeky bastard!

Well yeah, ya got me there, but then all 500 words of your blurb could
be distilled down to "drive along parramatta rd and turn onto the
harbour bridge" sorry if I wasn't concise enough :)

    JL
(when are you coming over for that tyre ? drop me an email)

It's got to do with the companies organising the tours for which one
normally sub contracts, they don't allow for toll fees (the cheap skates!)

No toll fees on that suggested route above (including the harbour bridge
    - bridge toll is only southbound, you'll be north bound)

You'll need to go back via an alternate route to avoid the toll on the
bridge coming back, although you can do that with 4 turns as well.

You're on Military Rd at the zoo, keep following it until you've crossed
    Pacific Highway,

1.take the next right onto Burns Bay Rd,
    2.Left onto Longueville Rd (10Km)
3.take cloverleaf exit to end up heading west on Vic Rd (5km)
    4. Left onto Homebush Bay Dr. (10km) and you're back where you started

    JL
(but I'm not going to claim that's easy - even though it has big green
signs you need to know where you're going to know to take it)
