No Bandit oil or air filters in stock at the Luton branch. That's the
service delayed by a week then.

What's the weather like up there?

Any clouds were supposed to be gone by now but it was coming south.

Fucked if I'm going out on a bike in this weather.

    <Looks outside>

Hmm.. getting brighter but still raining.

Wet here with no apparent signs of it getting drier.

**** the BBC and their "it's going to be a good weekend" shit.

I was looking forward to going to Sunny Sussex without worrying about
shit, including water, on the roads.

Dry here, so I've just mowed the front and back lawns, and finished up
    by breaking the lawnmower.

I'm IN sunny Sussex. Guess what, it's sunny! :p I've got to pull the
blind to stop the glare on the monitor. Oh well, back to lurking and
tidying up the back garden. In no particular order.

Would it help if I pointed out that the weather here in Reading is
    superb?

    Bad form etc etc

I popped into the HG shop in Luton today just to have a look-see at
what's going on there. While I was perusing the assortment of goodies
behind the counter I spotted a box full of Bandit oil filters[1], so I
asked about the air filter as well. Out came the box from under the
counter and the third one down is the correct one. I grabbed 5 litres of
oil, paid for the lot and a cargo net then left.

I don't know who I spoke to on the phone before I went, but they didn't
look very hard for what I wanted.

[1] I suppose it helps that I remembered the product code from my time
    working for HG.

Just out of interest, how many different bikes use the same filter?
    Anyone?

East Sussex was shite pretty much all weekend. Didn't stop me buying a
new lid [1] and spending an hour or so pumping 2p coins into the
machines in Hastings [2], ambling round Rye [3], sampling the delights
of Battle [4] and ODing on chocolate [5]. Pushbikes spent the weekend in
    the conservatory where they belonged.

[1] Nitro N800V - fucked if I'm paying 450 quid for another Arai, but
the shame of buying it from a scooter shop was overwhelming

[2] Win crap! Swap crap for more crap! Everyone's a winner!

[3] Is it my imagination or is the place going downhill? Wall-to-wall
pikeys and an Edinburgh Woolen Mill. Rape of Rye indeed!

[4] Battle Abbey (so-so), Yesterday's World (abysmal), Mrs Brown's (mmm,
sweets) and Café Belge (mmm, beer)

[5] 2.5kg wholesale box of mini eggs courtesy of the lawyer. Goodbye
    pancreas.

IKWYM. One of the most comfortable and best fitting jackets I ever tried
on was in a scooter shop but the 400 quid price tag was too much.
I love those. Brighton Pier used to do 1d slot machines that you'd have
to buy old pennies for 10p. Don't know if they still do it but the old
"what the butler saw" machines were great.
Well, I made enquiries about living there. Make your own mind up about
    that.
Never stopped in Battle although I do plan on going there sometime over
    the summer.
Ho-yuss. Mini eggs, I could eat them until I'm (almost) sick. I'd then
spend the next few hours feeling extremely ill and regretting eating so
    many.
