Hi all - good to be back

  1. Yeah - it's a tough trip to take, it's over 4 years now since Kerry
and I split after 20 years together. Even an amicable split farkin
hurts. My sympathies. I know my life has changed radically since we
separated. I don't even own a bike at the moment (that will be fixed
when I get back to the UK though).

    Cheers

  2. Your wife owns a donut shop????? How cool is that. That must be like a get
out of jail free card or something with the local cops?

Well; it was confined to BT's dunny (although "confined" is probably a bit
of an understatement!) but it was a very, VERY, close-run thing!
Next time I'll try to hang around for a chat.....

That was about three weeks ago 'cos he dropped in at Chez Doodle on his way
    home again afterwards.
From here he was off to Stanthorpe to visit rellies and then heading home so
he should've reach it by now!

Not wrong there - screws one up for a bit - 19 yrs for us. Hard to make
simple decisions now - do I iron with a crease or not? Could the loo go
another week (mth/yr) without a scrub? Should I fork out a few $$ for some
kindly Korean to clean my loo? etc. - the really hard decisions are
    impossible!
Well, I've finally connected here (sitting at home with the olds in
Wauchope) and have just been riding around Port/Laureiton and up to Nth
Brother today. Shame I didn't log on last night eh? Mine was the shiny
clean black XX - the old man and I washed it yesterday, first time in bloody
    ages!
    I rode Gloucester/Walcha/Wauchope yesterday, leaving Gloucester at 0900. A
bit cold before the mountain but not too bad up the top. Looove mate -
that's what I have for that stretch - sheer, childish, unadulterated and
    unnatural leeerve for the Thunderbolts/Oxley!

By the way - what do you ride? In the centre of Port as you say - you don't
live at the Sandcastle by any chance??

    Cheers,
    Dave
PS - I'll be back in a few weeks - will let you know!

    Hey there Cam!

Great to be back and hope we can have a mid-week soon, yes? I'm off to Qld
in the next few days but on return, I'll be in touch for a run!

    Cheers and to Ange!

    Hey Kev,

    yes, it's a bastard, that's for sure. I couldn't imagine a nasty split.
However, sometimes I reckon things would have been easier in my crazy head
had we had a real bust up! The girl's just too damned nice - kills me.

You'll enjoy your bike back in the UK for both months you can use it... ;-)

    Cheers and good luck!

Wait 'til you get to 'do I use a full flush or half' ..
I've not done the trip to either Brother at the moment - that'd be an
    interesting run.
I'm on a little Hyosung GT250, naked .. named Fritz. I went out to
Beechwood yesterday then out to tele point then blackman's point and
then had a bit of a hoon round town. Today however I'll be home with the
kids 'til at least 2 before I can get out. I'm off Waniora Parkway
(near Herschell and Lord St/Kennedy Drive).

When I had the run up to Ginger's a month or two back, I found a good
deal of pleasure on the run back I tell ya - even got the nerve to see
how fast Fritz (the Hy) goes.. had to take my L's off first tho :) (I've
been off my L's about 6 weeks so a quite new rider). I'd be keen to take
a run out that way again that's for sure.

I was there September 2004 on my way to Adelaide on a postie bike. The
food at the bowls club was good.. and the beer there was cold. We
camped on the football oval behind the bowls club so I can't tell you
what the accommodation in town is like. From memory there was a spa and
health resort type thing in town, and ummm... a $2 shop where I bought a
pair of thongs. It looked much more impressive from the air a couple of
days later when I flew back into town in the local RFDS charter. Had a
great view of all the opal diggings from the pilot's seat.

If the person who rewired them used the usual trick of wiring them into
the light circuit, better check they wired them into the tail light
wiring, and not the brake light wiring.
