  1. Oops, yes it's a bugger when that happens. In my case caused by the ****
in front being too chicken to go for a huge gap - he started to move,
    then stopped dead.

It was a bit like that but no way could I try to claim he was
responsible in even the slightest way. His only mistake was being in
    the same area as me.

  3. I didn't blame the **** at the time and exchanged details with him. It
was only when it became obvious later on the **** was trying to get all
his existing rear panel damage paid for by me that I told him to get
    fucked.

See, you be nice and hold your hand up and where does it get you?

In my case it'll get me a "stupid ****" from my boss and a hire van
    for a couple of weeks.

I did it to make you feel better.
I know. This re-opens the old discussion about whether I should notify
my bike insurers but knowing that having a claim against me would mean
the 10R going up for sale when it comes to renewal time makes the
    decision easier.

If they rode a bike you could identify them by the floppy ears stuck to
    their helmets.

    Quite sad really.

I will disagree with you on this. I would like to point to the **** that
did a quick lane change in front of me and an even quicker application
of the brakes. I had little time to react and no escape route, I
stoppied into the back of him.

Well, not the same thing, but when I first insured my car I mentioned
the bike accidents and the droid's words were "we don't care about
    motorcycle accidents, only car accidents".

So whilst Verdi will no doubt still find some moral high ground there
somewhere my experience is they don't seem to give a toss about
    alternate modes of transport.

That's why I said his punishment and other posters attitudes were way
too harsh at the time. We all make mistakes but not all of us admit to
    them.
